Where will my assets be held?
After careful due diligence, we selected Charles Schwab as our custodian because of its strong financial position, robust internal controls, and long-standing reputation for client asset protection. Schwab provides multiple layers of security, including excess SIPC coverage, to safeguard your accounts. Your financial safety and peace of mind remain our highest priorities.
Will there be any impact to my accounts or financial plan?
No. This change will not affect your accounts, your investment strategy, or your financial plan. We will continue to manage your accounts with the same care, attention, and strategy you’ve come to expect from us.
Will my tax planning or reporting be impacted?
There will be no tax implications or reporting changes related to this update. We will have a strategic outlook on taxes as usual, utilizing the same proactive approach to minimizing your tax burden and supporting your overall financial goals. For tax year 2024, you will receive year-end tax packages from both Northwestern Mutual Investment Services (Pershing LLC) and Altura Wealth Advisors (Charles Schwab). Starting in 2025, you will only receive tax documentation from Altura Wealth Advisors (Charles Schwab).
Will my insurance policies be impacted?
Your insurance policies will not be impacted in any way. Northwestern Mutual will continue to service the policies, and if you have questions or need help with your policies, we will help you connect with the right resources at Northwestern Mutual when needed.
